Well I've been modeling now for at least three days straight :) have done so much in that time that it's kinda interesting. I fell pretty tired atm now which is annoying because I'm wanting to finish modeling the scene I'm on blahhhh so close it's frustrating ><

From my knowledge of the tech engine it's baked in the same way as a shadow would be, but it could be different with the hammer engine but seeing as hammer is so heavily based on tech my guess is that it would be pretty much the same method. Either baked in, or is just a simple shader.

np :), make the smoke a light ash colour that normally does the trick. Also for the lighting try to have a glass ripple look to it so that it matches the object that the light is passing through and blur the shadow allot so that it looks less like something from farcry shadow wise and then I think that it would look pretty nice :)

Thanks heaps for the crits. Alot of people seem to not like the lighting in that particular map, so I'm workin on it now. I actually do have smoke particles rising from the machine thing, but I don't think you can see them very well from the screenie.

Hey man, like your gallery, took me a while to get around to it. sorry.
But one thing i suggest, Is to get your scraps and put them in your gallery, get's more views that way i think, Either way, that's sweet stuff. I may or may not be contemplating messing around with textures now =P
